British betting and gaming company Coral has announced a partnership with San Francisco-based social and mobile game developer Ruby Seven Studios, which will see the pair developing and launching new social slot machine games on an international level. The first app will see Coral’s games ‘The Magician’ and ‘The Magician Triple Pots’ launched inside a new social game.

Friends of Zynga’s Gems with Friends can now play a similar title on Facebook, as ‘2048’ is available to play for free. 2048 asks players to move numbered tiles around a game board using their arrow keys, with the goal being to create a tile worth 2,048 points. Players can manually meld tiles in relation to the arrow key they press, making the game more about skill than speed.
Goodgame Studios’ browser farming game Goodgame Big Farm has passed a milestone, as more than 25 million people have registered to play the game. That figure translates into some equally large in-game stats, as Goodgame has released an infographic of interesting figures from the title’s past. For one, more than 362 million units of cow feed are produced each month.
With the upcoming Easter holiday, it’s no surprise RoyalCactus’ Bunny Maniacs is growing in popularity on Facebook. The level-based puzzle game has over 368,000 monthly active players on Facebook, according to our app tracking platform AppData. In Bunny Maniacs, players combine elements to form new items, in a format similar to that found in Triple Town, as one example.
Spotify’s Facebook app has been topping AppData’s leaderboards for some time now. It’s the top gainer this week in monthly active users (MAUs), accumulating almost 1.4 million new MAUs. Spotify has over 32 million MAUs, and its DAU/MAU engagement has increased five percent in the past week. (more…)
Oklahoma City-based GoldFire Studios has announced the official launch of its Kickstarter-funded, HTML5 powered social casino game CasinoRPG. The game released in beta on the web in September 2013, and combines elements from multiple game genres, like roleplaying and tycoon games, into one experience.
6waves’ Fruit Jamba is off to a fast start on Facebook, as the new puzzle game has climbed to over 228,000 monthly active users (MAU) in just a few weeks. According to our tracking service AppData, the game had just 6,300 players on March 29. In Fruit Jamba, players complete match-three levels by collecting fruit and completing level-specific tasks.
In 6waves’ newest Facebook title Once Upon a Night, players find themselves trapped in a mystical forest, speaking with trees and fighting an evil witch for control of the kingdom. The game is similar to Disney’s Facebook title Ghosts of Mistwood (our review), in that players will be given a small parcel of forest, filled with trees, vines and other debris, and can only complete as many tasks as they have available workers.
King leads the pack when it comes to the top Facebook developers. According to AppData, the social gaming company had an average of 93.5 million daily active users (DAUs), giving it over 23 percent of the market in March of 2014. Microsoft had about 26.6 million DAUs in the same time frame with nearly seven percent of the market. It was followed by Zynga (18.2 million DAUs), Spotify (12.4 million DAUs) and Supercell (11.3 million DAUs). (more…)
