Double Fine launches Middle Manager of Justice — Game developer Double Fine Productions launched its first iOS game this week, Middle Manager of Justice. Players assume the role of a Justice Corp bureaucrat who’s been tasked with managing a superhero facility. As a result, it’s up to the users to build new training grounds, upgrading equipment and managing a team of superheroes to better protect the city.

Century 21 gets in on The Sims Social’s real estate — Century 21 Real Estate is partnering with EA’s The Sims Social, starting on Thursday, Dec. 20. Players will be able to place and use a Century 21-branded fireplace in their Sims’ homes. This follows the real estate firm’s recent campaign in SimCity Social, which led to Likes of the company’s Facebook page increasing by 225 percent.

SOE’s President doesn’t like Facebook games — Sony Online Entertainment Jon Smedley revealed that he’s not the biggest fan of Facebook games. Speaking GamesIndustry.biz, he said, “I gotta tell you, I’m not a fan of the Facebook game. To me, they’re monetization vehicles and not the kind of games I want to play or make. That’s just me personally. So we’ll stick to what we do best.”

Race 4 My Place launching soon — PopRox Entertainment’s citybuilder Race 4 My Place (which eschews in-app purchases in favor of advertising and branding, as well as offering real world prizes like mortgage payments) is going to launch on Facebook soon. No official date’s been announced yet, but keep your eyes on the app’s official Facebook page for more info.

PopCap working on new hidden object title — Plants vs. Zombies developer PopCap is working on a new hidden object game, Hidden Agenda. Details about the title are scare, but the screenshots at Games.com feature a number of anthropomorphic animals as small town characters and the story looks like it features some kind of crime-solving.

IveyPoker announced for 2013 — This week, world champion Poker player Phil Ivey announced the development and upcoming launch of his branded Poker  game, IveyPoker. The game is set to launch in early 2013 and will be playable on Facebook, iOS and Android.
