Disney Interactive seems to be getting into the Black Friday spirit by offering some extreme discounts for some of its more popular social games.

The company announced today that, starting Nov. 23 (Black Friday) and running through Nov. 26 (Cyber Monday), users can look forward to the following deals:

• In Marvel: Avengers Alliance, the character of Mockingbird will be on sale. Until now, Mockingbird could only be acquired if a player achieved fifteen mastery stars in the game’s first Special Operation.
• Ghosts of Mistwood is going to feature a Black Friday bundle that will include lantern oil, coins, special ingredients and a limited edition Stardust Relic.
• Gardens of Time players will be able to purchase “any of the in game gold decoration items” at a serious discount (though exactly how big this discount is hasn’t been revealed yet).
• Both Blackwood and Bell and Threads of Mystery will have their hard currencies on sale. Again, the exact discout hasn’t been revealed at this time.

Black Friday’s typically been used by retailers to kick off the Holiday shopping season here in the United States with extreme discounts on premium items. Even digital marketplaces like Steam, Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network have gotten in on the action during recent years. Social game developers, though, haven’t taken much advantage of the tradition. Given how Disney Interactive’s been increasingly distancing itself from AAA games and been seeing increasing revenue from its social and mobile sectors, this probably won’t be the last time the company announces a major sale.
