Amazon kicks up hiring for social games — Amazon is continuing to build its social games development team. The company’s now set up a jobs page for its games studio, complete with detailed listings that point out Amazon is looking to develop casual web and mobile titles.
Crytek wins gamescom social award — Developer Crytek’s free-to-play shooter Warface won the 2012 gamescom award for Best Social/Casual/Online Game. Warface is scheduled to enter beta this Fall in both Europe and North America. It will be launched on social hub GFACE.
Puzzle Chasers gets mansion-decorating contest — Konami announced a new mansion-decorating contest in its recently-launched game, Puzzle Chasers. The contest ends on August 31 and gives players the opportunity to win in-game prizes when they share images of their in-game furnished mansions on the title’s Facebook page.
