Zynga spending serious cash on lobbying for real-money gaming — Zynga is getting even more serious about real-money gaming. The Verge reports the company spent $75,000 in lobbying fees last quarter in both Washington and California, centering around a bill that would let companies offer online poker in the state.

Cloudstone gets ripped off — Playsaurus’s Facebook RPG Cloudstone has been counterfeited in China. On Reddit, the developer says “about a week ago, we discovered our game was on a Chinese network. They took our files, revers-engineered the server and hosted the game themselves with Chinese translations.”

Blitzoo brings SlotSpot to iOS [Launch] —Blitzoo Games is bringing its popular social casino game SlotSpot to iOS from Facebook. SlotSpot on iOS features over 40 different levels and 12 different slots games. The game’s available for free on the App Store.

GREE launches Monpla Smash on iOS [Launch] — Gree today released its latest iPhone title Monpla Smash, a free-to-play RPG monster battle game. The game features over 100 different monsters to collect and merge together and is on the App Store now.

Mind Candy announces new Moshi Monsters games — Moshi Monsters developer Mind Candy announced this week it’s working on two new Moshi titles, to be published by GREE. Moshi Monsters Village and Moshi Monsters: Lost Island will come to mobile platforms, starting sometime in the Fall.

Dungeon Blitz reaches 1 million players — Free-to-play action RPG Dungeon Blitz reached its millionth player this week. The game is on the open web, but launched on Facebook in April. Developer Blue Mammoth Games tells us Facebook provides 95% of traffic and the game’s been growing steadily, adding 10 to 15,0000 new users a day.

PopCap launches Plants vs. Zombies store — PopCap Games launched a new Plants vs. Zombies online store this week, which is now live on the web. The new retail site contains various items like apparel, artwork and toys. There are even infant one-sies for sale, so you can get your kids on the PvZ bandwagon early.

Intenium serves up My Cupcake City closed beta — Developer Intenium announced it’s begun closed beta testing for its next casual MMO, My Cupcake City. The game is a browser-based MMO based around café management. Open beta testing is expected to begin sometime this Fall.
