Martha Stewart joins CastleVille — Martha Stewart is all over television and magazines, but now she’s all over CastleVille, too. Zynga provided M. Diddy with her own neighboring kingdom in the game for players to visit, go on an Easter egg hunt in and receive unique gifts from.  Stewart herself has an avatar for players to interact with.

DeNA and Disney team up for mobile social games — Mobile social game platform operator DeNA and The Walt Disney Company announced a publishing deal to bring jointly-developed games to the Mobage network in Japan. Disney Party is the first of these and launched on March 28. The next game is Disney Fantasy Quest and will launch for the network on April 2. A third title based on Marvel Comics characters is set to launch sometime this summer.

Gangs of Boomtown comes to Facebook — Digital Chocolate’s 30-day G+ exclusive for Gangs of Boomtown is over, which means the game has invaded Facebook. Gangs of Boomtown can also be played on its own website.

Bossa Studios launches new mode in Monstermind — Gozilla-inspired city building sim Monstermind has received a new Campaign Mode. This new mode has players solving strategy puzzles while they build their cities up in order to fend off the giant monsters stomping all over the land. Players who participate will be ranked in new online leaderboards, showing how quickly and effectively they’re able to take down boss characters.

Zynga VP of engineering resigns — Neil Roseman, the VP of engineering who helped launch the company’s new Zynga.com platform, revealed that he stepped down from his position at Zynga three weeks ago. Roseman spoke to AllThingsD, explaining that  he wanted to spend more time with his family. He’s succeeded at Zynga Seattle — which he founded and managed — by Jim Veevaert.


One Piece Grand Collection hits 3 million player mark — Namco Bandai is reporting its One Piece Grand Collection has acquired a total of 3 million players. The “social figure collection game” launched in January and is based on the popular anime/manga IP. One Piece Grand Collection currently holds the No. 2 spot on DeNA’s Mobage network.

GSN Digital opens new office in Washington D.C. — GSN Digital, Game Show Network’s digital division, opened a new studio in Washington D.C. to increase the company’s presence on Facebook and develop new titles for the GSN Games app. This is GSN Digital’s third office, the other two being in Waltham, MA and San Francisco.
