Foreign language games permeate this week’s emerging Facebook games
Three older Chinese games are experiencing traffic boosts, putting them on our list of emerging Facebook games alongside several other foreign language titles.
Heroic expedition - Happy Farm took the No. 1 spot this week after bringing in 40,000 monthly active users for a 400 percent gain, but the app’s traffic is still much lower than its peak levels a year ago when it had just over 1 million MAU. It’s hard to tell what caused the surge as there is no English mode to play.
IGG’s Chinese version of Galaxy Online II (the title’s fully translation is “Interstellar civilization free strategy StarCraft web game development, expansion,plundering, strategy, ships DIY challenge your IQ”) and Titan Quest took the No. 3 and No. 7 spots with gains of 150 percent and 300 percent, respectively. Both of these games have histories of going through peaks and valleys somewhat regularly, and they look like they’re starting to go through another round of increased traffic. The Indonesian version of Galaxy Online II topped last week’s emerging games list.
Five other titles saw gains of 100 percent or more: On5′s Charadium, NTB Games’ The A Game, Webs’ Fling a Thing, Tall Tree Games Fortune Slots, ELEX’s Frohe Ernte 3 – Buntes Farmleben (German for “Happy Harvest 3 - Colourful farm life”) and yet another version of Galaxy Online II (this time in Portugese).
GamePoint’s Bingo Deutsch is the final foreign title to appear on our list, with a gain of 50 percent.
