Kabam Doubles Down on Strategy Games With WonderHill Acquisition
Kabam is on a quest to conquer Facebook with geeky strategy games. Having told us in August that it would focus on games like its own Kingdoms of Camelot, the developer has followed up by acquiring WonderHill, a potential rival with a brand-new strategy game on Facebook.
When I went in and talked to WonderHill on Tuesday about their game, Dragons of Atlantis, co-founders James Currier and Stan Chudnovsky didn’t mention that they’d been bought out. But the first thing that came to mind when I saw Dragons was still Kabam. Both Dragons and Kingdoms of Camelot use a nearly identical strategy layout, and the flavor of the game also seemed familiar.
There’s a benefit to owning two similar games, according to Andrew Sheppard, the company’s chief product officer. “In many ways, we’d like to run each of the franchises like Warcraft 3 versus Starcraft 2. We’re talking about a specific sub-genre
with two different themes. Over time they’ll diverge for the two different audiences,” he says.
Both Kabam and its new subsidiary seem to feel that there’s more than enough potential for new strategy games, even similar ones, on Facebook.
When I spoke with Currier, he discounted the idea that the market was small or limited to serious gamers: “Have we identified a niche audience? We currently don’t feel that way,” he said. “With 500 million people on Facebook, the size to which this thing can grow shouldn’t really be considered niche, and we’re noticing a vast array of different types of people coming in to play the game.”
As for why WonderHill wanted to conceal its acquisition until after showing off Dragons, Currier later explained via email that his team of hardcore gamers, which had previously only built somewhat fluffy social games, had fallen in love with their new project and poured their hearts into it — so he wanted to make sure they got credit for their work.
That focus on the team is important. Social gaming companies, perpetually short on skilled employees, have become cutthroat about hiring away dissatisfied talent from competitors.
Kabam and WonderHill also both seem to feel that they’ve identified a special retention advantage, intrinsic to their focus on deeper games. Since many skilled developers come from the console or PC gaming worlds, companies that are producing a strategy or serious RPG title may hold an edge over competitors working on the next lightweight business sim or city builder.
New employees have also been streaming into Kabam. The company has been on a hiring spree for several months; it now has over 200 employees between its Redwood Shores headquarters, Beijing satellite office and now WonderHill’s San Francisco office. For reference, that’s twice as many employees as CrowdStar, which is considered a far more established game developer.
“When we launched Kingdoms of Camelot, there were a lot of questions around whether there was room for strategy on Facebook. I can’t say for sure what will happen, but we’re aggressively investing in it,” says Sheppard.
There should be more evidence of whether the bet is a good one soon: Kabam plans to release three new games over the next three months.

Needless to say, many of us at Enchanted Gardens are very upset over the news that it will be closed down. My question is even though you bought out Wonderhill, why can’t EG stay open since there are 18,000 plus people interested in the game? I know many are not regulars but many are and some have put tons of money into rubies so they could buy the special items. So many of us enjoy being creative and it’s been a way for us to relax and share things with our friends there. It’s a community of friends, unlike any other game out there. Many of us got the boot from Dog World when things went under there and now we are getting it with EG. Why can’t something be done to save the same rather than take it away from us again?
November 1st, 2010 at 6:43 pm
There are too many players and members on Enchanted Gardens and Green Spot who DO NOT enjoy the type of games that you are suggesting.
Many of us use this app as a way of relaxing and socializing. We also pay for our items on a regular basis.
To take this app away from the Enchanted Gardens and Green Spot community is really a difficult blow to many of us.
Please reconsider your decision.
Sincerely,
L. Lynne Doucette

I really hope you reconsider getting rid of the current games on Facebook. I play Enchanted Gardens and was very sad to find out the game is ending on Dec 1. I love that game and I know lots of other people who do as well. I know it’s not the kind of game that your company focuses on but some of us like to get away from reality and relax and Enchanted Gardens is a game that let’s us do that. Thanks for reading, sincerely Jackie Wormley

KEEP ENCHANTED GARDENS ON FACEBOOK PLEASE
November 1st, 2010 at 7:24 pm
I feel that you shutting down enchanted gardens by wonderhill is completely outrageous. It is a profitable game, and many people will refuse to use your games if you do indeed shut down such a well liked site. I think it would be a stupid decision on your part, and would be much more profitable for your company to keep enchanted gardens up and running.
November 1st, 2010 at 7:26 pm
PLEASE CONSIDER KEEPING ENCHANTED GARDENS FROM WONDERHILL, SO MANY FACEBOOK MEMBERS DEPEND ON THIS GAME FOR THERAPY, STRESS RELIEF,& THE COMMUNITY OF FRIENDS WE ALL ARE, THANKS YOU!
November 1st, 2010 at 7:32 pm
Can you PLEASE keep Enchanted Gardens up & running ….. So many people play this game daily & love it …. I for one am not into a lot of the other games that are out …. I enjoy designing my own gardens & using my creativity ….. please consider keeping the gaze going instead of shutting it down on Dec 1.
November 1st, 2010 at 7:59 pm
I just want to say, PLEASE do not take away the gardens! There are so many of us that play this game, and have became good friends. Its my only outlet for creating things. I love it here.I let my 9 year old daughter come on here and let her decorate a garden after she come s home from a hospital after having bad seizures as she can’t play any other games.Too complicated. Please don’t shut down the Gardens. Too may of us use the EG forums as a release or for relaxation. Concentrate on EG. U guys do a wonderful job with the different forms of scenery and background so why let such an awesome game close its doors.

Keep Enchanted Garden!!! How dare you come in and shut us out! This game is so unique and relaxing. sometimes a person needs a break from all the other games! PLEASE keep this one!
November 1st, 2010 at 8:06 pm
So WHIll talks to the press about us EGarden players (amongst them) as being ‘fluffy social players”?? Where else do you find a game where some peeps play over 8 hours+ a day?? And over 2 million of them? And it’s all gonna go away ..we were told today..as of dec 1..?? Ok Wonder Hill makes a lotta money on the sale of their acquisition…. good for them I say…Has to be someone who wants us 2 million fluffy players who play hours a day and have no where to go? Guess Farmville or someone mentioned Super Poke and a Fairy Something…I would think that it’s cheap money to keep existing customers happy vs a new acquisition strategy…My thoughts…

i surely hope they will KEEP Enchanted Gardens,, this is ridiculous to tk it away after ALL E1 has worked so hard at!!
November 2nd, 2010 at 6:29 pm
Please keep Enchanted Gardens active – so many people have connected through this game and many lives have been touched by the creative genius seen in the various yards. The players are among the most caring group you would ever meet and they use the Gardens as a way to relax and escape from the sometimes ugly and/or painful areas of their lives and as a way to help others deal with difficult issues in their own lives. To you it’s a game, to we the players it’s a mental health break.
November 2nd, 2010 at 7:37 pm
Just found out today that Green Spot is also getting the boot. Not everyone wants to play violent games. I for one can’t play many games because of my dial up and there are thousands and thousands of people still on dial up.
Green Spot is the most loved game by all, young old rich poor sick healthy and most important friendly people. We have been playing for a few years and when one of us is sad or sick the whole Green Spot community helps one another over the internet.many of us have never met and probably never will but that doesn’t matter….
If you choose to close Green Spot you my friend will hurt a few million people. Please reconsider letting go of a very popular game.
November 3rd, 2010 at 8:31 am
Please, reconsider a way to keep Enchanted gardens for those who use Facebook, and Greenspot for those of us that use Myspace. We are a network of very talented ppl and use the gardens as a means of stress relief, therapies, as we have no other outlet. I too live a very hectic life, I spend my hard earned money with subscriptions guarenteed once a month to play this game!! A world without change, once in a while would be so appreciated. Please help us keep this going!! Thanks
November 5th, 2010 at 8:12 am
I also think closing both Enchanted Gardens and GreenSpot is an awful thing to do. GreenSpot is the only app/game that I have ever spent money on, and not a small amount either. I found out about GreenSpot closing on the same day that my Ruby subscription payment went through for November. I personally think that everyone should be refunded their payments within the last 30 days. NOT doing so would be dishonest. The saddest part is that there is nothing else like these two games out there for all of us to play instead. So while Kabam and the former WH “move forward”, we will not be playing your other games.
November 6th, 2010 at 4:36 am
Kabam you will loss a lot of people that play games like GreenSpot and Enchanted Gardens we are a different breed of people..We are there for each other for friendship, support, for fun and even tears, to relax from a long day of work a place to go for peace of mind making gardens is good for people it helps to take your mind off pain..
I feel that you Kadam and Wonderhill have mislead people you guys knew this was going to happen and said nothing keep taking money for Rubies are you proud of yourself’s for doing this to others.?Repay thoes that bought Rubies for November it is only fair that you do..
November 6th, 2010 at 10:52 am
Please don’t close GS. You will be taking away part of me. IT’S not just a game, WE ARE FAMILY THERE! Those people have been through 3 of my grandchildren being born. My son’s horrible car accident. Not to mention the people who are bedridden and depend on this app. for their daily escape. IT would be the biggest mistake ever made if this is allowed to happen.
November 6th, 2010 at 5:05 pm
I think the taking away of such great games as Enchanted Gardens and Green Spot is beneath contempt and I will never play another Wonderhill game nor a Kabam game. We as a family on these games know a lot of people combined to get the word out and your project will just go poof into thin air.
Sincerely,
a loyal gardener
November 7th, 2010 at 12:27 pm
I think shutting down Green Spot and EG is a bad idea..so many play and play nothing else…We are upset about this and we dont now what 2 do…It will be a big loss 4 us all and hope yall know what ur doing cuz we sure would like 2 know what…i luv Green Spot and have been on here now 4 a year and now its going, i dont know what ill be doing, so please reconcider.
November 7th, 2010 at 12:39 pm
I believe that the closing of either of the gardening games is in poor taste. They are disregarding litterly thousands in the gaming comunnities feelings and wants in a game. Not everyone wants to battle something or stratagize. Alot of gamers want to relax and enjoy something non violent. The garden games encompass beauty, peace, and pleasure.
November 7th, 2010 at 12:52 pm
I have been playing Green Spot for almost two years and the news of the game closing has hit me harder than even I would have expected. Why do I care so much about this very special game? That goes back to a long history of gaming in general, starting with Atari and right on up to both the Playstation and the Wii. One of my favorite kinds of games has always been simulation games where you can build and create. Only a few titles let you do this with limited restrictions so when I stumbled upon Green Spot I wan instantly curious.
I started out with a little green square that I could fill to hearts content. At first I played for free and got to know the game. I started to get the other players and I quickly became part of the community. Upon the release of some fantasy items I broke down and starting buying the real money currency in the game “rubies”. I continued to purchase the virtual goods because I was saving the rain forest and creating beautiful works of art. Like many others I spent hours and even days building my gardens and sharing them with all the wonderful people I shared this new hobby with.
And even though I have a general understanding of business I don’t understand why such a great game with so much potential for growth and profitability can be tossed aside, especially with so many loyal supporters. The day I found out I will forever call, “the 1.7 million people don’t count”. Kind of scary.

KEEP GREENSPOT ITS A MONEY MAKER FOR SURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
November 7th, 2010 at 1:01 pm
Today I mourn the passing of a game I played almost all the time. I have an illness that leaves me in pain and alot of sleepless nights from insomnia. I played Green Spot some days 24 hours, other day 12-16 hours. I cannot garden outside I cannot clean my own house, I cant go anywhere,All I HAD was green spot. This game kept my mind active now all I can do is sit before the boob tube and let my mind turn to mush. I am 63 years young and I have seen enough war, blood and guts and etc to last forever and do not want to play games with that in it. I will never play either of you alls games again. My family has quit play Camelot from Kabam and any of your known games. So sorry about your decision. By the way Wonderhill I am the lady with an amputated foot. Loosing rest of leg soon. Janet Milan Green Spot Avid player.
November 7th, 2010 at 5:45 pm
To close down a applicatiion with as many users as Green Spot has is mind boggling. I hope Kabam’s games fall to the waist side. How hard would it be to keep the application/game up and running? I will boycott any games you release. I don’t like violent games and won’t let my children play… How selfish can one person be? It is written in Red all over your face.
November 8th, 2010 at 8:09 am
How dare you close down green spot on myspace … we all spend alot of time and money ‘real money ” on green spot and for you to come in and close us down is just wrong . alot of us dont like violent gaming which is why we come to green spot daily . it is relaxing to us and we enjoy it very much . its not only a game it is our home of friends we have all made while playing here ,we ask you to please keep green spot open . i will also spread the new all over the internet about kabam/wonderhill so everyone will know how much a rip off u all are . now if u keep green spot it would all be different . we will even play to pay even thou alot of us cant afford it we will this is how much we love green spot .

Shame on you for calling us fluffy social gamers when it was because of us that u were able to sell for millions. You are ignoring a large group of plyers that do not care for violence in games, and I only hope and pray that a gaming company develops such a game for us fluffy social players that will put your company to shame. I am boycotting all of Kabam’s games, there are other sites with games that interest me more than strategy and killing. Shame on you.
November 8th, 2010 at 8:51 am
Why must you close down Green Spot when there’s so many folks playing it? This is not only a game but it also serves a purpose which is to help save the “Rainforest.” We realize that GS isn’t a game of your caliber, but there’s so much violence in this world that many of us don’t care to play the types of games you offer. GS is a calming game and offers many of us a place to go to relieve stress and use our minds so they don’t become stagnant. It’s a very nice place to be when you wake up and find yourself in a “Bad Place” as once you start to work on a garden, converse with your friends and receive wonderful comments, it doesn’t take long before your day turns around. This game has helped “MANY” to turn their lives around believe it or not. It’s “Awesome Therapy.” Strategy Games are NOT for everyone. Please take a look at the amount of sq. ft. we’ve already saved which at the time I’m writing this is: 78,274,861.9 sq. ft. and this will help you understand just how many people play this “Fantastic” Game of Green Spot. This also applies to “Enchanted Gardens” as well. I may not be a player of that one, but it’s the same principle and I’m standing up for those people too. We, those that play, have never had the chance to voice our opinions, so now would you please listen? We are trying our best to let you know how much these two games mean to us and we would so love to have you reconsider keeping them both. They are “GREAT” money makers as we spend a lot of money on rubies each and every day so that should count for something as well. It’s a game that is a continual money maker for you. We are trying with all that we are to do whatever we can to save Green Spot/Enchanted Gardens so if you would be so kind as to rethink your decision, I guess that’s all we can ask for. We do feel that we deserve better than what we got. We put everything we had in our gardens and “Thought” we’d be able to play and create many for many, many years to come. Now, all the money we spent on rubies is gone and our beloved game is just about over with. Please tell me this? Is that fair? I don’t feel that it is. Yes, things do change, but is it that hard to keep two (2) games open when so many play AND depend on them on a daily basis? I don’t think that’s the case at all. It would be terrific if we would sign onto Green Spot/Enchanted Gardens one day and get the message, “Message To Our Community – We Have Decided To Keep Green Spot/Enchanted Gardens Open.” On that note, I guess I’m done. Is our games done for good too? HELP!!!
November 8th, 2010 at 9:33 am
Would some please help us save our app greenspot on myspace we have people all over the world that have grown to depend on this app their are people that are bedridden-handy cap-retired service men & women their are people that have come to know the other players as family .Some have spent Thousands of $$ to play help others and to save the RainForest other games are not the same they have put their talents to work. Please I am praying that you can help us save our GREENSPOT I’d like to know what other games are available to those of us “FLUFFY” players who *don’t* like war games, theft games, and the other violent stuff they have. Why is it the people who enjoy innocent games the ones who have to loose? Why is it always about the MONEY. What about Family, Friends and man kind. Please I ask of you save our game cause to a lot of us it is not just a game it is a way of life. Thank you for your Time.
November 8th, 2010 at 9:34 am
Been playing GS for almost 2 yrs faithfully and am in shock that WH/Kabam have decided to close it down :’( This is the only game of it’s kind besides of course it’s sister version EG on FB. Many people love it as well and I think we all are very disappointed and frustrated and just dont understand why the powers that be would think it wouldnt be profitable to keep it around…. Not everyone likes fighting/strategy games so why not keep up a game that is already loved and supported by SO MANY along with trying to start this other venture?! WHY???? :(
November 8th, 2010 at 11:22 am
i would greatly appreciate if u would fix the glitches on greenspot so the gardens would load….i love greenspot it is a fun game to play & i have made many friends on greenspot….if there is over 1 million people playing greenspot from all over the world…why cant u leave the application alone & let it stay open..i cant understand why u have to close it down…would u plz reconsider & let u play greenspot…i will not play any of kabam’s game..there is enough violence in the world without playing it on here…plz dont close down greenspot…
November 8th, 2010 at 11:56 am
please keep green spot that games means alot to everyone and everyone spent alot of time and money on that game im so sad to see it go
November 8th, 2010 at 4:10 pm
wonderhill had so many players the competition probably drove Kabam nuts, wonderhill was taking potential customers away from them. so they bought wonderhill out, it is not Kabam’s type of gaming so they are not continuing GS. my ? is what is Kabam going to do when a similar GS is created and it will be. but is Kabam going to try and buy them out also. I hope for the next creator they are NOT dumb and sell out like wonderhill did.
November 8th, 2010 at 7:55 pm
Please would you reconsider, this game is keeping a lot of people from going totaly insane or better word crazy
November 9th, 2010 at 4:30 pm
Please reconsider your decision on closing a well loved application on Myspace called Green Spot. I’m not asking for myself, I am asking for the millions of people who not just want this application to stay but many NEED for it to stay whether it’s due to a disability, or maybe even a mere escape. I have befriended more then two handfuls of wonderful men and women and to know their heart is breaking due to this closing breaks my heart in return. So in tears I am asking on part of us all. PLEASE DO NOT CLOSE GREEN SPOT!! And for those who play Enchanted Gardens on Facebook, I also ask, please, continue to keep these applications running.
Thank you.
November 9th, 2010 at 4:43 pm
Wonderhill’s GreenSpot on MySpace is a one of a kind game. I have NEVER found an online game that allowed such creativity and interaction. It is a very therapeutic and fun game in these times of stress. I actually skipped meals to pay for a subscription. Most games out there are violent in one way or another – this one is not, and in comparison to the other nonviolent games, i.e., Farmville, it is HANDS DOWN the best. I really hope that this game can be saved in some way, even if it involves a sale to another company.
November 9th, 2010 at 4:52 pm
WHEN I STARTED PLAYING GREENSPOT I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST A GAME…IT’S SO MUCH MORE THAN THAT..PEOPLE WITH REAL LIFE PROBLEMS AND REAL LIFE TRAGEDIES GO THERE TO PUT THEIR PAIN AND HEARTFELT FEELING INTO AN ART SHAPE FORM.. I THINK IF ALL THE PEOPLE THAT PLAYED THE OTHER GAMES WITH THE DRAGONS AND SWORDS VIOLENCE OR WHAT EVER WOULD SAY..THOSE PEOPLE LOVE THEIR GREENSPOT GAME .HELP THEM..GREENSPOT WAS TO BENEFIT THE RAINFORESTS…ARE THEY GONNA STOP CARING ABOUT THAT TOO ….IT SOUNDS LIKE OUT WITH THE GOOD IN WITH THE BAD INFLUENCES TO ME…..KEEP GREENSPOT IT MEANS MORE THAN JUST A NAME OF A GAME .IT’S A PASSION THAT SO MANY OF US HAVE .AND TO TAKE ART AWAY I THOUGHT ART WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A SPECIAL THING IN THE WORLD……WE ARE HURT AND MAD AT THIS KABAM..AND MAD THAT WE WERE LIED TO BY THE WONDERHILL OWNERS.IT’S NOT RIGHT AND WE DESERVE BETTER
November 9th, 2010 at 5:08 pm
I realize that we (Greenspot and E.G. players) are probably wasting our breath because your minds are made up. I know you’re looking at the dollar signs. Well, I for one and my relatives and friends will NOT be playing the Kabam games. We have been set by the way-side because you see $ signs with your more vicious fighting war games etc. So be it. But shame on you! I hope and pray another company starts a Green Spot with a different name and shows you what you’re missing out on. Saving the rain forest? Really? So you drop helping the rain forest also???
I hope you (Kabam) reconsider and leave Green Spot and E.G. as they are. Almost two million players and growing is not a bad number to work with. But you’ll see, you will not have as many players with your games as you think if Green Spot and E.G. bite the dust.
Thank you for listening (I hope).
November 9th, 2010 at 5:10 pm
Please reconsider closing Green Spot and E.G.
I finally found a game that I love and am very, very disappointed that you are planning to shut it down on Dec. 2nd.
November 9th, 2010 at 5:42 pm
Green Spot (and Enchanted Gardens) has provided such enjoyment for so very many people. It is a wonderful creative outlet, stress reliever and support system. Many friendships have been forged from playing this game, friendships that span the states, oceans and continents that separate the players. Physical proximity is not necessary for true friendship to exist. There are many people playing this game that are housebound due to illness, handicap or other reasons and this is their only social activity. People of all ages can play in a creative, gentle environment without the violence so prevalent in the world today. And to address the businessmen reading these posts, many of these people spend their hard earned money on this game, also. We let our small children and grandchildren play on it feeling it is a safe environment for them. These children will grow up to be potential customers for your other games. People that grow up using a particular brand or company generally trust that company’s products and remain loyal users. Seems like you are ignoring a source of potential future revenue. That, if no other reason, should show that closing Green Spot is a poor business decision. It would be a win-win situation for someone with vision to save this game for its many devotees.
November 9th, 2010 at 5:43 pm
As one of the “Fluffy” group of players I am very upset by the fact that they are closing Greenspot. I have a 10 year old and 8 year old who play this game becasue I don’t allow them to play violent, sexual type games and in the years I have played greenspot it has been all family friendly fun. Shame on you for breaking two little girl’s hearts by taking away their game
November 10th, 2010 at 5:46 am
I am totally distraught at the news that both Enchanted Gardens” and “green Spot” are to be axed. These are unique games and cannot in any way be replaced. These games are creative, beautiful, family orientated, charming, harmless, fun games and mean a tremendous amount to many, many people. They are played by all sorts of people, many are disabled, house-bound, or ill. Many have created gardens in memory of loved ones, now taken from them. Many gardens have been created to mark special occasions or support causes important and personal to their makers. To all these people “Enchanted Gardens” and “Green Spot” are not just games, they feel their loss as a bereavement, and I want you to understand that so that you feel the enormity of what you are doing by taking these games away from them. Other “similar” gardening games out there are childish and unsophisticated by comparison and frankly not worth the trouble signing up.
I do not understand the reasoning behind the axing of these fantastically popular games and I am sure that if you wanted to keep them on it would not be too difficult for you. Even if they are not “your sort of game” surely they could be sold off to an interested buyer.
Finally, though I feel ridiculous pointing out the obvious to you, it must surely have occurred to you that the people who play these games are not ever going to transfer over to fantasy, fighting and strategy games. It’s just not in them to do that, so you wont be gaining any players for your current games at all, just losing the one you have already. It is a very different style of game to be sure, but surely it makes more sense to diversify rather than “put all your eggs in one basket”.
Please, please, please reconsider your decision and keep these beautiful and unique games, you would make so many loyal friends if you did. Or if you cannot, then please sell to someone who believes in them as strongly as we all do.
November 10th, 2010 at 10:37 am
http://www.savegreenspot.com How can you shut down a game that more than 2 million people play; and the majority of those, myself included, pay to enjoy? This app is just a game to all of us, it’s a relaxation after a hard day of work, its an escape to utilize the tools and create something beautiful and wonderful in our ever fearful world. It is a game I allow my grand daughter to participate in helping create some of that beauty. We were not giving a choice; most of us feel as if we’ve lost a loved one with this ending so abruptly.
Some players are disabled and GS is their ONLY way communicate online and their only means of enjoyment online.
PLEASE reconsider closing our beloved game.
November 10th, 2010 at 10:38 am
Please reconsider the closing of Greenspot. This is not just a game to many of us, it is a whole community, a family that has laughed together, cried together and prayed together for its members. You are taking a game away that shut ins play, disabled people play. There are no other games out there that compare to the creativity and beauty this game provides. For many this what they have to look forward to each day as disabled people, people with depression..its an escape, so please reconsider your decisions to close Greenspot.
November 10th, 2010 at 10:47 am
Please keep Greenspot up and running! I have played this game sense day 1 and I truly love it! Please reconsider!
November 10th, 2010 at 10:50 am
It is not too late to change your mind about closing down WonderHill games. Your advertising potential is even greater with so many of us trying to save our social network. STOP…LQQK….AND LISTEN…. Once you shut out so many people you may not get them back… Our gardens were a place to love one another, to be like family. The people playing those games kept it interesting to the point that they were buying rubies to inspire games inside the game just so that those that did not have rubies had a chance to get some, sort of like America before the self centered, greedy politicians took over.
November 10th, 2010 at 10:50 am
Please Please….help us keep our beloved Green Spot open this game means the world to me aside from my family. It has become more than a game I have met great people that now I consider my friends……would love to keep playing even if it means starting from scratch and wouldnt mind paying a monthly fee to keep it goin…..Please dont close the gates on us!
November 10th, 2010 at 11:02 am
Please reconsider the closing of GreenSpot and Enchanted Gardens. These games have become such an integral part of so many lives in a way that you may not become aware of.If you read anything that has been going on since you took over WH read the comments we have been posting around the net,the emails we have been sending, the postal mail we have been sending, the blogs we have been posting on, the phone calls we have been making and the websites we have been creating. These apps are important to us as you can see if you have been looking. We have been contacting Ellen, Oprah, television stations, newspapers, etc. Does that not speak of GS & EG’s importance? Many of us are disabled, many housebound, all of us need these two games. They help us socialize and help us to deal with daily life. Please do not shut it down until you come up with a solution..extend the deadline..look for a buyer..im sure there is someone out there that would not mind buying a non-violent game..one of those that donates to the Nature Conservancy for pete’s sake. Don’t close these apps without listening to 2 million people speak..do not close until you re-think your decision..find a buyer if you wish not to own it..altho i would keep if i were you..we are loyal, faithful players who have become a family..and that is important in today’s world, isnt it? All of WH’s games are fun and unique and that is important in today’s world as well. Please reconsider your decision or at least put off your decision of destroying 2 million lives…thats TWO MILLION..worldwide members of a family…thinkg about that eh?…and anyone out there reading this check out savegreenspot.com…a site that has been created for us family members to raise hopes and possiblities…thank you, Gracie & Steel

Thanks
November 10th, 2010 at 11:44 am
I am totally distraught at the news that both Enchanted Gardens” and “green Spot” are to be axed. These are unique games and cannot in any way be replaced. These games are creative, beautiful, family orientated, charming, harmless, fun games and mean a tremendous amount to many, many people. They are played by all sorts of people, many are disabled, house-bound, or ill. Many have created gardens in memory of loved ones, now taken from them.

I hope that the Owners and Developers at Kabam will take to heart the many players and supporters of Wonder Hill games AKA Green Spot and Enchanted Gardens… to keep it up and running. I would hope that the application would be revamped and brought back to us if you do decide to take it away temporarily… I hope to that you will hear the voices of the many players who use this game as a therapeutic outlet for stress, depression and loneliness…Many elderly, singles, and widows have found comfort in the game with other players they need this like they do their medicine…Please I beg of You … for my friends… don’t deprive them long… have something ready to Go back up as a VERY Similar game for these who LOVED Green Spot and Enchanted Gardens.
November 10th, 2010 at 12:35 pm
Please reconsider your decision to shut down all Wonderhill games. You do not realize the implications of your actions. Do you realize that there are 2 million active players on GreenSpot alone? Have you done your research? Have you seen our messages to your emails, the phone calls?,the postal mail, the blogs, the sites, the comments all around the net?? Do you realize the importance of these games to us? How important these apps are to us? How they help us socialize, how we have become a family, how we fight to save the rainforest on GS?? A suggestion? Hold off shutting down the WH games and find a buyer for these wonderful games? Let them stay up and running and make so many people happy? How about it? It cant cost all that much…think of the long time value..think of TWO MILLION HAPPY PEOPLE WORLDWIDE..who have a voice..who will praise your name across the net..that is free advertising in YOUR favor…please give it a chance, thank you,Gracie&Steel
November 10th, 2010 at 12:53 pm
I am a loyal user of Green Spot on MySpace and I am baffled by the closing of this wonderfully creative app where I have met some wonderful people and enjoyed much of my time over the past couple of years…Its crazy for this company to cast aside so many users, many of whom spent real money to build and gift to others. I myself would keep spending money. We are actively working to help find a new developer who could hopefully swoop in and be our knight in shining armor…we are 1.7 million strong…will you help us? Anyone?…
November 10th, 2010 at 1:04 pm
Plz reconsider shutting down GS that is the only game I know that has been so helpful to so many people. I have been hooked on it since the first time I played it.To take this game away would be very tragic for alot of ppl, to you it’s just a game, to us it is a community of wonderful and beautiful people that share in making things beautiful around them.
November 10th, 2010 at 1:58 pm
Please reconsider closing Green Spot. Speaking as a disabled woman, there are a lot of things I can no longer do in “real life”; however, this was one of the places where I knew I could come and “get away from the craziness of reality”. It seems that there are very few games anymore that don’t center around war, violence & drugs. This is a game that appeals to adults, children & even seniors. There are many who spend a great deal of real cash purchasing items for their gardens. News of bad business decisions tend to spread quickly and this could put a real dent in your revenue.
November 10th, 2010 at 2:14 pm
I am yet another Green Spot player that wonders why Kabam would buy WonderHill.com and then shut down their most popular games. Given the multitude of dedicated players, the uniqueness of both Green Spot and Enchanted Gardens, and the outpouring of emotion that I see going on, this decision makes absolutely no sense. I hope that Kabam will reconsider closing these games, and work with the GS and EG communities to find a resolution that we can all be satisfied with. Kabam is not only singling out an entire demographic of players and telling us they don’t care, but they are alienating us as well. The ripple effects will be felt on many levels, and in effect tarnish the entire MMO gaming industry. The whole thing is certainly a shame, and shame on you, Kabam.

To whom it may concern….am writting this note to late u know that Green Spot and Enchanted Gardens are great games! Why replace them w/ violent games? I ask that Kabam please save Green spot and Enchanted gardens. These are good family value apps. Kabam give the apps a chance to show you they are profitable and a sound investment. Not all of us are teenage boys we are not all into violent apps. These apps are so important to us. They are truly more than a game. I wonder Mr Chou how you would feel if we walked into your families life and took away what is important to them. These apps are an addiction to us we are loyal users who will support this app. I personally would pay to play. I have supported it from the beginning of the ruby program and will continue. Its not good business sense to lose so many loyal customers.
November 10th, 2010 at 2:55 pm
GS is an amazing place to be.. I have made lots of great friends. It’s my safe place, where i can talk to people from all over the world. Even though i don’t them personally they are a great bunch of people they are like FAMILY. We HELP each other out in time of trial, sadness, losses, surgery’s and many kinds of illness. We are there for each other. The gardens we create are from the HEART. If you take the time to look at them they tell a story of how we love, How we feel, our hope’s and Dreams. PLEASE Help us keep GS going.. I am so very worried about a lot of my GS FRIENDS, that need to talk when they are lost and soon there will not be anyone there for them.. What will happen to them? “PLEASE” Save GREEN SPOT!! Thank you..
November 10th, 2010 at 4:36 pm
Obviously there are many people who will be devastated if you shut down GreenSpot and Enchanted Gardens and all these people go on those apps for most of the same reasons it says that WH/GS made over 7.5 million dollars from that alone why would you shut it down? it is a money maker for sure and for everyone who plays them its relaxing i doubt you will see as much money from your new games considering it only appeals to youth and kids dont have money i certainly wouldnt buy anything off it and wouldnt play it and im 24 <—-somewhat youth lol please reconsider im sure you wont regret it!
November 10th, 2010 at 7:19 pm
I am one of many individuals who are very disappointed in your decision to walk away from Green Spot. Please reconsider.
November 10th, 2010 at 8:22 pm
My developmentally disabled daughter loves GS. She is 26 yrs old with the mind of a 5yr old. She can not grasp the concept of games like Kabam wants to focus on. She is not the only person with such disabilities that plays GS either. Many people who are disabled for various reasons play GS, many women who just love to garden play GS. Many hard working people spend their hard earned dollars on GS. It is not just a game, it is a family. It’s players are like family but Kabam could care less about the people. People they are leaving with no game to enjoy. All I can say is shame on you Kabam.
November 10th, 2010 at 8:24 pm
Please give us softies a chance to play an application that does not require hardly any skill just creativity. Wonderhill created Greenspot, its players created a place to create gardens, using their artisically formed items. (new word) The players have created a chat room that many were willing to pay for the use of, like none you will ever see on any other application. Most subscribed per month to buy certain items just to support the creators, and to save rain forests. None the less alot of ppl were using the site for therapeutic reasons too. Please reconsider. SAVE GREENSPOT, for myspace and ENCHANTED GARDENS for facebook users. You can still make a buck, and have a bigger clientelle than any other gamer. God Bless
November 10th, 2010 at 8:36 pm
Please don’t shut down Green Spot…a lot of people truly enjoy playing and hearts are being broken after finding out what is happening!
KEEP GREENSPOT!!
November 10th, 2010 at 8:38 pm
Green spot is a place to relax, forget your troubles.Exspecially in this day and time of so much hate and crime. We need a safe, clean place to take ourselves to.And many of us take our children and grandchildren here.may i ask a fluffy site, so all our children need only to feed in anger, hostily, crime, abuse, you are so called harming our children, in my book..no different from a child murder etc…guess i will say a good long prayer to my maker~blessed be the ones who protect out children~
November 10th, 2010 at 8:43 pm
I have played GS for about 2 years and since before Memorial day have spent thousands of my hard earned dollars playing. We may be a bunch of “fluffy” players but we are a dedicated and united bunch. You are losing millions of players with your thoughtless closing of such a beautiful peaceful App. We are not a bunch of wishy washy kids who get bored with games and come and go we are dedicated to our gardens and each other. You have betrayed a group that will never let this rest.
November 10th, 2010 at 8:47 pm
I WILL NOT PLAY ANY STRATEGY GAME OWNED BY ANY COMPANY. GREEN SPOT IS SO MUCH MORE THAN A GAME. I HOPE YOUR STRATEGY GAMES SINK AS LOW AS YOUR MORALS. SHAME ON WONDERHILL AND KABAM FOR DISAPPOINTING 1.7 MILLION LOVING FANS. (NOTICE I DIDNT MENTION HOW MUCH WAS STOLEN FROM US?????) YOU KNOW THAT SONG I PRAY FOR YOU???? YEAH, I PRAY FOR YOU.
November 10th, 2010 at 8:49 pm

November 10th, 2010 at 9:26 pm
I cant believe Kabam is going to shut down GreenSpot.Do u know what this game means to so many people.I deleted MySpace a while back & had to come back because I missed GS & my friends there so much. This is more that just a game,Its our therapy place.A place where we can come to & relax. When we need our spirits lifted our friends are right there for us.GS helps us to help eachother. It is more than a game it helps with the mind & soul.Yall really do need to reconsider doing this.Thank You for your time. Lennie
November 10th, 2010 at 9:39 pm
Please reconsider your decision to end greenspot! I’ve been playing it for 2 years now and I love it. I have met so many wonderful people who are kind and there for me no matter what. It would be nice to keep an app that isn’t bloody or gory. It has been my relaxation, and my way to help save the world. It is a place where people of all ages and races can go. No one cares who or what you are. It may seam like fluff to you, but to the greenspot community, it’s home. Again, I ask you to please reconsider ending it. Thank You.
November 10th, 2010 at 10:37 pm
i was a monthly subscriber to greenspot on myspace, i have been playing the game for almost three years. it is more than an app. to so many of us,it is unique and special, it is a special community of people from all over the world, meeting together to talk and create beautiful gardens. it is exciting to tend friends gardens and receive treasures to display. i was floored to see the news that it would be closing down on 12-2-10, as it is a popular and profitable app. please reconsider the closing, i need my daily dose of gs to relax. my name is annette and i am a gs addict !
November 11th, 2010 at 2:18 am
I was hit an run by a cement truck over three years ago…i don’t know how but i stumbled on to this wonderful game. I am bedbound and have nothing to do 24/7 i don’t sleep much. I will have constant pain the rest of my life and I play from a hospital bed. I need a game that is creative and keeps my mind in tact not some “shoot em up… run me over… blood and guts game”. Not only is this a good game it is for a good cause…SAVING THE RAINFOREST…you have to buy rubies in this game. I made a joke with my best friend who i met on Green Spots when she was here visiting me. I called them UBIES we started to have fun with that and befor you knew it i had people in the game calling them that. The reason i mention this is I spend on average $800 a month on UBIES and I know one woman spent $7000 on this game who is a teammie of mine. so if two people out of 2 million are spending that kind of money, you people got to be making enough money to keep this app going. I have been reading every bit of information that comes out about Kabam and Wonderhill and the more I read the more discusted I get at how you took advantage and did not tell us the doors would be closing on us.
November 11th, 2010 at 2:58 am
Please consider keeping Green Spot going. It is the greatest app out there. i’ve been playing for a year now, every day. i enjoyed it so much i never even looked elsewhere. why are you taking it from us? its not only a game, its a place to create and be an individual and/or a friend to others. Its the best game there is…… PLEASE keep it. May God Bless you. Thanks
November 11th, 2010 at 4:33 am

November 11th, 2010 at 7:06 am
I’m not even sure that its humanly possible to put in words what Green Spot has done for so many of us. Of course there is the obvious, making gardens and saveing rainforest….but in actuality it is so much more…..it is a lifeline for:
the young mother trying to learn and cope with an infant~~
the housebound person on disability feeling like no one in the world cares~~
it is a sounding board for the parents and spouces of our servicemen~~
it is the “calgon” moment for many who are in the position of caregiver to a family member~~
We are the only support some who have severe depression can hold onto when the dark gets to heavy to bear~~
This is “OUR” community..we celebrated many births…we mourned many passings…we cheered each other on threw dangerous and painful operations..we’ve had engagements…we’ve had breakeups..we’ve made many many friends and maybe even a few enemies along the way.
To take this game away from us is such a soul shattering event. I can beg you to reconsider or change your mind but i know that thats probably not likely so all I can do is BEG you to try and come up with a similar gae to help fill the void. Somewhere we can all reconnect.
November 11th, 2010 at 9:22 am
FIGHTING TILL THE END…Want to help save Green Spot? This game makes money and does have a loyal player base so what I am asking of you is to please help us save our game by getting the word out to other companies that may be interested in buying this game for us to continue our play. I implore you to not overlook the demographic age group this game
November 11th, 2010 at 9:27 am

when my Mom died in March I would have went nuts if not for this game Green Spot Please Keep it
November 11th, 2010 at 1:25 pm
I think it’s a big mistake to get rid of the ‘fluffy’ games such as Greenspot. I thought diversification was the name of the game? I would never consider getting out my credit card for wargames, but I have spent cash on Greenspot, because I was under the impression that it was spent on things that were pretty to look at and that would last. Things do not look good right now, but I still live in hope that someone will see the value of these ‘fluffy’ games. I for one know lots of people that have and will continue to spend money on them!
November 11th, 2010 at 1:34 pm
I am one of those people described by others…I am basically housebound due to disabilties. I am on Greenspot most of the day, and most of the night. I am able to do a little housework, then have to sit for at least an hour. I chose GS, because there is no violence, and I can be creative, and nothing dies if I don’t get to the app everyday! Since I cannot afford art supplies anymore, this was the next best thing to painting. I am not sure what I will do when you shut it down, but i know I, and many others, will not be playing your other games. Why bother? I put me heart designing gardens, and made alot of good friends from all over the world, and am so depressed knowing I will not have it to look forward to, everyday. Won’t you please reconsider, for those of us that are disabled, and this is the only connection we have with others, sharing the same passion???
November 11th, 2010 at 2:20 pm
I realize there is a bigger market for the fast and furious games, but some of us have responsibilities that make our real lives fast and furious. We crave the relaxing ‘get away from it all’ time we spend in GreenSpot. I don’t understand how Kabam can just throw away a game that brings such happiness to so many people. Many of us are older players. Where do they think their younger gamers came from? It’s a poor analogy, and I speak for no one but myself; but this feels like the old practice of sending parents and grandparents to a nursing home because they’ve already served their purpose and are no longer useful. The players of GreenSpot deserve more respect and consideration.
November 11th, 2010 at 2:50 pm
YOU GUYS NEW ALONG TIME AGO THAT Y’ALL WERE GOING TO CLOSE THIS GAME. Y’ALL ARE VERY SELFISH AND INCONSIDERATE OF OTHERS. I AGREE WITH ALL OF THE OTHER PLAYERS THAT WE ARE NOT INTO PLAYING BLOOD AND GUTS AND KILLING ETC. GAMES. IT IS BAD ENOUGH THAT PEOPLE ARE DOING THAT IN THE REAL LIFE EVERYDAY. NOW YOU HAVE TO GO AND PUT IT IN OUR GAMES. WE CAN’T SEEM TO ESCAPE FROM ALL THE VIOLENCE NO MATTER WHAT WE DO. IT IS NOT FAIR TO THE 1.7 MILLION PLAYERS ( FAITHFUL MIGHT I ADD) THAT U CHOOSE TO CLOSE IT AND OTHERS LIKE IT. YOU NEED TO THINK OF ALL KINDS OF PEOPLE INSTEAD OF JUST UR KIND THAT WANT TO KILL AND HAVE VIOLENCE ALL THE TIME. LIKE I SAID UR SELFISH AND U SHOULDN’T BE THAT KIND OF PERSON. SOME OF US HAVE BEEN PLAYING FOR 2 YRS. I MY SELF HAVE BEEN PLAYING FOR OVER A YEAR AND I BUY RUBIES EVERY MONTH. THIS APP BRINGS IN REVENUE SO I CAN’T SEE Y U WOULD WANT TO CLOSE IT DOWN. IF U R A TRUE BUSINESS MAN THEN U SHOULD CONSIDER ALL OF US.
November 11th, 2010 at 4:10 pm
The doors closing on Green Spot has been a devastation to many people in the Green Spot Community. There are so many who have made friends and even some who have become kind of like a family. There were days when I was feeling down and out about life and I could always go to Green Spot and create a garden that would brighten my day just a bit, but the Green Spot Community were the ones who could always bring a smile when I needed one.
Having the doors closed on us after days and days of being told that the game would not end any time in the future was hard. Especially to the people who had payed lots of money into the game. There have been many hard feelings and upsets over this game closing. To soo many it was a garden that they could actually work in because so many had disabilities and could not do the things that they yearned to do. So here sat a garden that you could create.
I love Green Spot and I would love to see it stay open because it is like a big community. There are almost 2,000,000 people playing on it and to be told that because the economy was harsh it had to be closed. I could have understood that if a new game had not been created just a month earlier that is still to this day up and running. So the economy, just couldn’t be that bad on the WH workers..
I hope to see someone take over GS because it would be a great asset to any gaming company. It holds a diverse community of people, races and ages. We all loved it and we all will miss it dearly..
Thank you for taking the time to read this..
Sincerely,
Jennifer Colbert

I am totally baffled as to why a company (Kabam), would buy such a profitable and helpful game as Green Spot, just to shut it down. I am also one of those “Fluffy”, disabled, housebound people that play Green Spot for 10 or more hours a day. I am not only disabled and housebound but I live in pain 24/7 which in turn makes me depressed. Since coming across Green Spot 1.5 years ago, my depression, pain and stress has decreased dramatically. The game that “Kabam” thinks is for “Fluffy, middle aged women”, is played by people of all age groups, both women and men. I have come across many games, on both MySpace and Facebook, and Green Spot is the only game I have loved to play. The game is both creative and therapeutic. I have seen many talented, creative people that rival the best painters. Green Spot has a fan base of two million people from around the world. You would think that “Kabam” would look at the numbers and see what a profitable game it is, not only in money and gamers, but also for the Rain Forest. “Kabam”, go to http://www.savegreenspot.com read the comments and look at the screen shots of the gardens that people have made with their hard earned money, their love and creativity. Save Green Spot on MySpace and Enchanted Gardens on Facebook, you won’t regret your decision to keep them both because they will be profitable to you and you act like a company that looks at the bottom line, which is making YOU money. KEEP GREEN SPOT AND EG, I KNOW YOU WON’T REGRET YOUR DECISION AND YOU WOULD BE ADDING OVER 2 MILLION PEOPLE TO YOUR FAN BASE. CONTINUE YOUR SHUTDOWN AND YOU WILL LOSE OVER 2 MILLION FANS WHO WILL SPREAD THE WORD TO BOYCOTT ALL YOUR “Kabam” GAMES!!!!!
PLEASE SAVE GREEN SPOT, KABAM OR SELL IT TO A COMPANY THAT WILL!!!!

Green Spot and Enchanted Gardens are my favorite games. I have gotten so much pleasure out of playing them and I’m heart broken that they are being axed for a bunch of violent games that are just more of the same. GS is truly unique! My gardens are all carefully crafted miniature art works. A screen capture is static. I enjoy moving my items around and changing my gardens and adding to them. Surely somebody at some company somewhere would like to have these games. There are so many of us playing them. I spent real money to buy rubies so I could purchase items. I can’t believe 1.7 million players don’t count!!!!!!!!
November 11th, 2010 at 5:50 pm
I love Green Spot so much, and may of the other games from Wonder Hill. Not all games are about strategy, you know. Some are meant to be relaxing!! Leave the relaxing games that Wonder Hill provided alone!
November 11th, 2010 at 7:57 pm
I am shocked and devastated by the news that Greenspot is being shut down. I have been playing this game since it first debuted on Myspace. It’s not just a “game”, it is an escape, a refuge, a sanctuary, a lifeline, and a real connection to real people all over the world. It’s not a fluffy game to pass the time. There are so many amazing gardens that have been created using ingenuity, creativity, inspiration and a lot of time and patience. Some of the pictures that I have seen created on this app are absolutely breathtaking. Nowhere else in the online gaming world is there a place to visually express creativity like this. People are absolutely dedicated this game; some spend hundreds of dollars a month to purchase items that are just virtual!!! I myself have paid for items. This application is so unique and special; it’s a family friendly game that children can play all on their own or as a bonding experience with their mother, father, sister, brother, aunt, uncle, grandpa or grandma. My children love to create their own gardens and I have seen countless other profiles and people who say the same. Personally, Greenspot has been a wonderful place for me to be able to relax when I’m stressed out, to be creative as an artist in a way that I cannot be in real life, to meet wonderful people of all walks of life, and sometimes it’s a place where I can go and just zone out for an hour or two. It will not be a closing of an incredibly poplar and well loved application; it will be destroying a family, ripping apart relationships/friendships that have been built solely through playing this game. It will be shattering lifelines to thousands of people who are homebound or disabled and have found Greenspot as a safe, welcoming place to connect to the outside world. There are so many options and alternatives to getting rid of an application that is not “your cup of tea” besides shutting it down! Sell it to another company, keep it open and reap the profits from the dedicated people who play it…..get creative!!! There is a better solution to this than closing down a beloved app. Maybe if the owners of Kabam actually played Greenspot, they would see how much love and commitment is invested by all the people on there; and maybe, if they had ever played Greenspot and created a garden, they would have activated the left side of their brains and they would be able to come up with an original solution to dealing with this unique game besides just kicking all it’s players to the curb!!! KEEP GREENSPOT ALIVE!!!
November 11th, 2010 at 8:07 pm
Please dont shut down green spot and enchanted gardens! They are fun family friendly games that our whole family enjoys. Please dont shut them down :(
November 11th, 2010 at 8:16 pm
I truely believe that Kabam and Wonderhill should seriously reconsider removing Greenspot and Enchanted Gardens from it’s game offerings. I don’t think you realize the huge previously untapped demographic of players that you are throwing away. This type of game is enjoyed to a wide range of people that many of the other games available just do not appeal too. The people, including myself use these games as a way to relax and unwind. A way to releave stress and a way to socialize. It is a creative outlet for people from every age group and every walk of life. You are giving up a huge opportunity here and you will lose the loyalty that you have gained from the offering of these sites the instant that they close. Many of these players have no interest in games centered around violence, darkness, or strategy. We WILL as it is, take our buisness and our money elsewhere.
This being said I will close by simply saying that it would be very very wise for you to reconsider shutting down these games and keep this loyal fan base that you have developed in these wonderful people.

I am disabled and Green Spot is one bright spot in my life. I also am a single parent of a young adult with autism. I have met other parents of both children and adults with autism playing Green Spot. It is one place where I can escape from the realities of what I have to deal with every day. Not only that but it is a great creative outlet for me. I do not play any violent or strategy games, nor will I ever. In fact I plan on deleting my myspace as soon as Green Spot closes down. As others have stated, Green Spot is a very family friendly game. Please reconsider closing this game.
November 11th, 2010 at 11:55 pm
To the folks at Kabam, I really hope that you’ll reconsider the closing of Green Spot and Enchanted Gardens. I know that there are a lot of other games out there but they are not like GS/EG. It makes me sad to think of what repercussions from GS/EG closing are going to have on certain people. I’m a college student going to school to be a psychotherapist. I know how much GS/EG have meant to so many people. I have been able to witness the therapeutic benefits that the two games has had on those with mental illnesses, physical illnesses, shut-ins, families, grandparents, children, veterans, etc. GS/EG may not be strategy games but that’s what we all like about them. They are a no brainer, but they are a no brainer that fosters creativity in people in veryone who plays the games. It’s brought happiness, well being, friendship, and a social lifeline that many people would not have otherwise. GS/EG are a lifeline for many people. GS/EG is a destresser for the most part for many people. We don’t want reality type or fantasy games that offer violence. We want only the kind of fantasy that Green Spot and Enchanted Gardens have to offer. They are simple and good, and anyone no matter their computer skill level can play them. GS/EG have also gotten many older people interested in computers. Many of these older folks would never have touched a computer except for maybe email if it wasn’t for GS/EG. It’s really sad that a whole demographic of people are being kicked to the curb because the developers are no longer interested in games of this class. I implore you to please reconsider your decision to close Green Spot and Enchanted Gardens. Thank you.

SHOUT-OUT to the Kabam People!!!! What the ‘heck’ are you thinking???? You are shutting down a NON-VIOLENT, FUN, PROFITABLE Social Networking App/game!!! Are you all so stupid, you can’t focus on REALITY…the kind of reality that keeps humans human??? You know, consideration for others, creativity, beauty, socialization…NOT Demolition, degradation, or annihilation!!! THE GAMES KABAM CURRENTLY FOCUSES ON IS THE SUBSTANCE OF THE DOWNFALL OF SOCIETY & SOCIALIZATION AS WE KNOW IT!!
For MOST of us, it wouldn’t matter if we are no longer saving Rain Forests…. cut that UNIQUE aspect out of the game…increase your PROFIT MARGIN!!(since obviously Kabam doesn’t want to share their profits with ANYONE!!). The fact remains that over 1,800,000 PEOPLE, (REAL, LIVE, BREATHING HUMAN BEINGS) log on DAILY to play GreenSpot &/or Enchanted Gardens! If only 1/3 of those HUMANS purchased Premium Items (you know..spend their hard earned REAL MONEY) on a monthly basis, YOU AT KABAM WOULD STILL BE ABLE TO LINE YOUR POCKETS!!!!
I, myself, would rather plant a tree, plant flowers, pet an animal or build a virtual homestead (homestead=house/garden/property) than KILL MY NEIGHBOR, BLOW UP A BUILDING, STEAL A CAR or STAB STRANGERS……WOULDN’T YOU????? GEEZ, PEOPLE…GET A CLUE! SAVE THE GAME(S) THAT NON-VIOLENT PEOPLE WANT & STOP THE VIOLENCE!!!!!!!
BE PART OF WHAT MAKES THIS WORLD PLEASURABLE AND STOP INSTIGATING WHAT IS DESTROYING MANKIND!!!!
Sincerely,
Nollisa Miller
(One of almost 2 MILLION LOYAL GreenSpot GAME Players!!!)

I am very upset about GreenSpot closing! I played everyday and, am really going to miss this game. It was my get away after a hard days work. I will NOT support Kabam, nor will I ever play one of their games. I do not like violent games, and that is all you care about catering too. If you really think that the 2 plus million people that were on GreenSpot will play them, you are mistaken. SAVE GREENSPOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
November 12th, 2010 at 9:48 pm
playing green spot was enjoyable becauce that is something my sister and me could do together since we live in different states, the fluffy social game as Currier calls it is a game that parents and grandparents can do with their kids with out having to worry about violence and nudity, my granddaughter loved the game it helps younger kids with eye and hand cordination and learn to be creative, helps all ages to be social some people cannot go outside or do a lot of things because of disabilities and it gives them a chance to interact with other people and make great friends while using their very talented minds, I am how ever very upset that WH TOOK PEOPLES MONEY FOR RUBIES FOR THE GAME, AND ONLY A FEW HAVE BEEN REFUNDED WHEN THEY SHOULD REFUND ALL FOR NOT GIVING A FAIR AMOUNT OF WARNING MOST PEOPLE WOULD HAVE SAVED THEIR HARD EARNED MONEY IF THEY KNEW AHEAD OF TIME.
November 12th, 2010 at 9:58 pm
Wow.. calling 1.7 million devoted Greenspot players “fluffy” is not going to win them over to play your games, you know. I’ve been playing Greenspot since Nov. 2008 and was the only game that I actually enjoyed. I love World of Warcraft and any of those type of games, but got tired of playing them.
Greenspot, at least, lets you relax and create your own world among other creative minds. I don’t see games like that online. Why does every game have to be the same? That just brings in more boredom.
Kingdoms of Camelot is not as popular as you think. I got bored of it on Facebook, sorry to say. Most people did.
Please, reconsider your decision and get back to us, thanks.
November 12th, 2010 at 11:30 pm

Please keep GS and EG open! I am so devastated! I am 36 and I play an average of 15 hours a day on GS. I am always alone and that app gives me so much joy! I have spent atleast a thousand dollars on GS in a yr and a half and would be willing to spend thousands more to keep it. I used to play games like mobsters up until the day I found GS, I have no desire to play any other game than GS ever again.
November 13th, 2010 at 12:41 am
I have been playing Greenspot for over two years, I have had a try at many other games and don’t like them, too violent graphics, abusive and aggresive players, greenspot is family, if someone told you, ” No more xmas for you and your family, or No thanksgiving for you and your family ” it would tear the whole idea of family, please don’t tear apart ours.
November 13th, 2010 at 12:50 am
Shame on you, Wonderhilll, and more shame on YOU, Kabam. You’re leaving a huge number of gamers out in the cold with this decision. Gamers that will NOT follow you into your bang bang shoot ‘em up world. We’ll stay here in our fluffy world, thank you very much.
I just don’t GET why you would shut down a ONE OF A KIND creative social game such as Green Spot. There is NOTHING like it anywhere else. You had a wonderful thing going. With loyal customers. HAD loyal customers, lest you forget.
NOTHING that comes out in the future from ANY of you will be played by me, my family, or my friends. Not one DIME will line your greedy pockets from this day forward.
The only way to continue getting money from any of us GSers is to KEEP GREEN SPOT alive!
November 13th, 2010 at 2:08 am
I am a Greenspot Player. It is the only game that I have ever wanted to play as it is gentle, fun and relaxing and enabled me to meet and chat with gentle, fun people. I had a monthly ruby subscription and would buy extra rubies during the month too, so spent a fair bit of money on this game, but considered it worth every cent.
I am not interested in violent, shooting, killing, war-type games so to find Greenspot was marvellous.
I am so sad that it is being taken away. I will not be playing your other games, because I am too “fluffy”.
And to any Greenspotters out there reading this, I am PROUD to have been part of YOUR community!
November 13th, 2010 at 9:16 am
I was devastated and deeply saddened when i learned that Green Spot was on its way to its demise early next month. I felt as tho a loved one was ripped away from me. This is how serious i am about Green Spot. I am on Green Spot everyday and must confess that i am addicted to it. I literally spent every minute of my waking hours on Green Spot creating gardens, building friendships and saving the rainforests. Green Spot was my life…really!!! My coworkers would kid me all the time about me and my gardens but they knew this game was perfectly suited for me. I am very artistically inclined and Green Spot, i feel, was customed designed just for me because it brought out the artistic flair and magic in me. I wish you could see all the beautiful gardens i’ve created. I have had tons and tons of beautiful comments about how my gardens made a difference in other GS gardeners lives. It touched them in so many positive and personal ways. Several requested that i personnally create gardens for them. They gave me access to their personal accounts. Can you believe that? The Green Spot community was truly unique. I wish something could be done to save Green Spot. I will truly miss Green Spot. What will happen to the MAGIC!!! Green Spot was MAGIC!!!

Please don’t kill GreenSpot and Enchanted Gardens!!I am sure that the violent shoot-em up games and the RPGs and strategy games are very popular with the 18-25 yr. old crowd, but you can’t ignore the older groups of gamers especially since there are, at the very least, 2 million of us.If those 2 million people paid $1 a month to play, you would still be the top site on the web!!Please think about what you are throwing away!I have searched and searched, and there are NO other sites on either Myspace or Facebook that come close to offering the level of creativity and comraderie that GreenSpot has. Please reconsider your decision and allow us “fluffy” people to keep our game open.Just look at a picture of your mother or grandmother and ask yourselves if they would rather spend their time blowing things up or creating beauty? Please!!

Plz do not replace anyone who works for GS It won’t be the same without them!!!!
November 15th, 2010 at 7:22 am
I have Green Spot and Enchanted Gardens. That’s about all I do have. This is my contact with the outside world since I am almost totally homebound. It is cruel to shut them down. Some of us have spent our much needed dollars so that we could relax, enjoy and appreciate out gardens with animation. I will not play the games suggested because I don’t care for them. I have over 1000 teammates and they feel the same. WonderHill should be ashamed of themselves for not considering all the people that made this possible for them. A broken hearted old laday.
November 15th, 2010 at 7:28 am
KEEP GREEN SPOT! I LOVE TO PLAY THIS GAME AND SO DO MY CHILDREN AND MY MOM. SHE DOESN’T GET ALOT OF ENJOYMENT IN WATCHING TELEVISION OR PLAYING ALL THESE STUPID STADEGY GAMES BUT SHE ABSOLUTELY LOVES TO PLAY GREEN SPOT. PLEASE DON’T TAKE THIS AWAY FROM US AND MILLIONS OF OTHERS. ADD NEW GAMES IF YOU WANT BUT PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DON’T TAKE AWAY GREEN SPOT!!!!!!
November 15th, 2010 at 1:42 pm
I would like to agree to with all the other posts here. Like a lot of people I spent a lot of time and money on Green Spot over the past two years. On Dec. 2nd all of my virtual goods and the gardens I built will disappear forever and that is just unacceptable. Find someone else to run the game or give me what I bought on a disc. P.S. I will never play a game by Kabam or any of its associated companies and be sure that I will spread the word about what was done to us…we ARE not FLUFFY!!!…
November 15th, 2010 at 5:57 pm

November 15th, 2010 at 7:25 pm
I don’t play Green Spot or Enchanted Gardens. It’s not the type of game the appeals to me. I’m more an RPG/strategy/action kind of gamer and would likely be interested in the types of games Kabam plans on focusing on. However, I will NEVER play anything that Kabam releases and will encourage my large network of gaming friends to ignore them as well.
My mother, a 53 year old woman with many health issues facing her, DOES play Green Spot and Enchanted Gardens. And she adores them. They help her to relax after a long, stressful, painful day or work. When she’s in so much pain that she’s on the verge of tears, Green Spot helps to calm her down and take her mind off the pain so she can find relief. She was devastated by the news that the games were shutting down. And then she was angry because the news was released the same day her monthly Ruby payment came out of the bank.
In the article, Kabam compares their owning two similar strategy games to that of Blizzard, one of the gaming world’s most successful developer’s, owning the Warcraft and Starcraft franchises. In another article on this company, I saw where they’ve claimed they want to “become the Blizzard of social games,” or attempt to take Blizzard on.
I am an AVID Blizzard fan and gamer. I own 3 World of Warcraft accounts with active monthly subscriptions, which have all been upgraded with the two current WoW expansion packs and are about to all get Cataclysm when it releases December 7th, as well as Warcraft III and expansions, Diablo II and expansion, and Starcraft. No, I don’t have Starcraft II yet as my finances are kind of tight and I’m more concerned with World of Warcraft currently. Anyway, yes, AVID Blizzard fan. And let me just say, with policies like this, Kabam will NEVER, EVER come close to Blizzard on any level.
Blizzard is an incredible gaming company who truly listens to their players. I’ve seen them announce decisions, receive incredible amounts of negative feedback from their community, and reverse the decision, or work with the community to reach a compromise. I’ve seen them make in-game tributes to influential players in the community whether it be naming a piece of loot after a helpful, well respected community member or including a small quest revolving around a non-player character (NPC) based on, and named after a real life player’s character when that player died and their guild posted their sadness on their forums. Greg “Ghostcrawler” Street, World of Warcraft’s lead systems designer regularly posts to the Blizzard forums and chats with the players, collecting feedback and using their input to make the game those players love that much better. Blizzard is a game developer that continuously shows that they really CARE about their player base.
Just a few weeks ago, at BlizzCon, Blizzard’s annual gaming convention, a player asked the Warcraft Lore team about a continuity issue between their out of game book and in game events in the current Beta for their next expansion. Blizzard admitted they’d gotten it wrong, corrected the issue in one of the next Beta builds, and even put a “fact-checker” NPC in as an homage to the player who corrected their mistake. Alas, I digress. I could go on and on about what an amazing company Blizzard is and how they continuously surprise and satisfy me as a customer and as a fan because they take their community seriously.
My point is that Blizzard would never knowingly and willingly alienate and anger a large portion of their fan base and continue to ignore their pleas to be heard. There’s a reason they still run the Diablo II servers even though the game is long out of date and they’re working on a successor. There’s a reason the Warcraft III games are still popular and maintained although they have an MMO out based in the same universe. There’s a reason you can still play Starcraft if you don’t have or don’t want to play Starcraft II. Because Blizzard cares about their customers. And THAT is why they are so successful. And THAT is why Kabam will never be able to compete at that level.
By announcing the closure of Green Spot and Enchanted Gardens, and choosing to ignore the outcry of the paying customers who play those games, Kabam show that they do NOT CARE. At all. So many people, my mother included rely on this game as a source of entertainment, relaxation, joy, friendship and an outlet for creativity. That much is obvious by the posts written above and on many other sites. These people are a different target audience than those that your strategy games will pull in. Even from just a financial standpoint, this move makes no sense to me as you could easily maintain the gardening games and keep these players while also branching out with the strategy games and pulling in an entirely different target audience, thereby gaining MORE income. The way it stands, I can only see a money loss, which, as far as I’m aware, is typically NOT something companies aim to do.
I would add my pleas to those who love these games as my mother does, and beg Kabam to please reconsider closing the gardens on Dec. 2nd. You’re hurting your own profit margins as well as the dozens of people who were loyal fans of Wonderhill’s wonderful gardening games. And unless you reconsider and keep them open, I hold true to my sentiment that you will NEVER be able to realistically compare yourself to Blizzard on any level. They are definitely a cut far above you.
November 16th, 2010 at 4:48 am
Since GS got its notice I have been looking for a game that is close to it but there is none out there, I have been playing GS for years now and really enjoyed the social life it gave, the friendly sounding’s for the people there and the creativity. It was my relaxing time and my place to chat and just have fun with others. Please don’t shut it down or please let some-other company buy it so we can still play. We need a place where we can just unwind and enjoy life.
Thank you for taking the time to here us…God bless.
November 17th, 2010 at 4:35 pm
I have been playing GS regularly and I am sad to see it’s been shut down..
There are many people out there who have put their heart and soul into playing that game and to them it’s not just a game but a way to make friends and socialize, to step out of narrow confines and feel part of something bigger than their loneliness and problems. In business it’s a known fact that for every person who speaks up there are 50 who remain silent…in other words there are a lot of folks who love this app!
Thank-you for your time in reading this.
Regards
Jo

I would really like to let you know how disapointed I am in Kabam for not careing about what the people of Green spot and enchanted gardens think about the closing or the fact that you just don’t care what we think or how we feel This game has helpedso many people that are handicap-bed bound-most of the players here are retired services Men and woman.I myself haved played this game and treated it like a visit to the art gallary I really HATE the fact that you are being so inconsidret of the people that play your games I have 5 people that play on my computer that I will not alllow to play the viloent came any more because of this I am really sorry that this company has to be so inconsiderate of us and our feeling in this matter
November 18th, 2010 at 8:32 pm
You have to know by now that we arent giving up. we dont want fancy new fantasy games, we want greenspot and enchanted gardens with the acorns to level up and shouts and comment areas to keep in touch with teamies and friends and family. we want a game our small children can play and learn with and greenspot/enchanted gardens is perfect for them. it teaches them patience, most aspects of art, and it teaches them to use their imaginations. there arent many games on facebook or my space that the kids can play with parents and grandparents but gs/eg is perfect. please reconsider. even if u dont save rainforest u will still have players and buyers for the rubies to help cover the cost. hundreds of thousands of ppl play on a regular basis. how can u discard them so easily. and i can guarantee they wont be playing any of your other games if u take these away.
November 18th, 2010 at 10:23 pm
…psst Kabam…do you know who pays for their children to play games like Kingdoms of Camelot?…mmm…you didn’t think about that did you?…wait until we’re bored and can’t play Green Spot anymore…what do you think we will be doing? If we found this place we can easily find the list of your other apps and games…seriously…don’t underestimate us…
November 19th, 2010 at 6:07 am
It is disgusting that this company thinks that Green Spot is just a fluffy social game !!! I dont need to repeat the wondeful things that all the others say about this game …I’ll just say that I agree it is a great game !!! It has helped me thru a very difficult year because I found out this year I have cancer. I am ticked off to see it go because a greedy company just wants to focus on violent war games for teenagers and young men…just what this world needs…more violence and war !!! Wake up and smell the coffee Kabam !!! Can you really afford to dump a game that thousands of us spend money on ???? If you go broke so be it Ha !
November 19th, 2010 at 11:21 pm
I am really sick & tired of people thinking they can tell everyone else in the world what they want. Guess what we have a brain. We are individuals with a mind and we do not need to be told what we want. I don’t want to play your strategy games and neither does my kid or any of my friends. So listen to your players. If you don’t want to run these games then find a company that will.
November 21st, 2010 at 8:30 pm
Two years ago my girlfriend found a game called Green Spot on MySpace. At first I thought she was crazy, getting all excited about treasure chests and the items inside. As the game grew she played more and more. We shared one computer so I bought her one to play. She built great gardens and made lots of friends. I even bought her rubies from time to time. You took my money and you broke her heart. As a consumer I have the right to chose and I chose to stay away from your titles in the future. Thanks for nothing.
November 22nd, 2010 at 5:15 pm
I spent real money on rubies for Green Spot. I was so happy..finally a non violent app i could enjoy. I hope you recheck the numbers of Gs and EG and see that there is a market for Gs and its a bigger one then you think. I have grandkids, nieces and nephews that love garden. They are too young for alot of the apps and games. gs is for all ages and a much loved app. Please don’t take it away from us.
November 24th, 2010 at 9:23 am
I don’t give a crap about the money I spent for rubies. What I do care about is the rain forest. What I do care about is that millions of people enjoyed this game immensely. What I do care about is that it is one of the few games on the internet that is not violent and anyone, from young to old can play it. What I do care about is the unbelievable creativity & beauty displayed by people who are not artists. Green Spot let us pretend to be artists while saving rain forest.
I can’t believe that Kabam & Wonderhill are just going to dump this wonderful piece of work called Green Spot after all Wonderhill put into it. Its like taking a new Porsche and driving it into a wall. A total waste.
Another thing, as you know Myspace is dying. Taking GS away from MS is just another nail in their coffin. They are in for a shock come December 2.
November 24th, 2010 at 11:35 am
Once again I am BEGGING you NOT to close this game..There are SO MANY people with broken hearts because of this…SO many people with noone that LIVE for our garden site.SO MANY people that are disabled and SO MANY people that love each other..CAN you not understand how this is hurting each and every one of us?? My granddaughter is so upset she plays this with me… PLEASE IF YOU HAVE A HEART inside you RECONSIDER THIS..Our time is running out and so many tears have been shed because of this..
November 24th, 2010 at 12:30 pm
i started learning computer 1 1/2 yrs ago when i became disabled i began greenspot over a year ago. ive spent real money for rubies just 2 months ago. i last ordered rubies oct.22. after a week it was announced it will shut down GS now i have rubies that cant be used! i feel i was taken advantage of by them accepting my money and days after the announcement came. this game is the ONLY game i played because it shows creativity and thought. i have brain injuries and the thought for the game use has helped me gain some of my brain acctivity. and NOW your leaving me and again ill be alone in mind and soul. this is more than JUST A GAME it is exercise for those like me with brain injuries as rehabilitation. i am sadden by this sudden disicion and will not play anymore games here.
November 24th, 2010 at 12:36 pm
I cannot believe that you would close such a wonderful game as Green Spot. Just because you bought out WonderHill, doesn’t mean you have to shut down a game that people love which has so many players. I am just one of those players and Green Spot has helped me in more ways then you can ever imagine. It helped take away some of my stress, brought my blood pressure down and helped me forget about some of the pain I live with daily. I am NOT some “fluffy woman” I am a very much a pusher that has pushed through some things that you couldn’t even imagine. I have lived enough violence in my life and don’t want to play games that involve killing and violence. I WANT GREEN SPOT AND SO DO MANY OTHERS. I THINK YOU PEOPLE AT KABAM NEED A REALITY CHECK. MOST OF THE GAMES PLAYED ONLINE ARE EITHER PLAYED BY WOMEN OR WOMEN WHO PAY TO LET THEIR FAMILY’S PLAY THE OTHER GAMES. I WILL NEVER PLAY ONE OF YOUR GAMES UNLESS IT’S GREEN SPOT!!! I WILL NEVER HAVE ANY OF MY FAMILY PLAY YOUR GAMES EITHER.
November 25th, 2010 at 5:37 pm
Regardkess if what YOU THINK and FEEL your violent games are NOT what everyone wants to play. You may FEEL that by aquiring Wonderhill that ALL the players are playing violent games but you are SO WRONG. Wait and see just how many you aquire after December 1st and 2nd. I just be you’re not getting a quarter of what you THINK you’re going to get. You’re making a HUGE mistake closing Green Spot and Enchanted Gardens down as that’s the MAJORITY of the players of Wonderhills Players. Once again Green Spot is NOT just a game, it serves a purpose and that is to save the Rainforest. Can you say that about ANY of your worthless VIOLENT games? NOT! All they do is to show children more and more violence. Don’t we have anough of that in the REAL WORLD? I guess not as you folks making and pushing these nonsense games out there seem to think they’re the greatest things since the invention of toilet paper!!
November 28th, 2010 at 1:26 am
Kabam, you purchased WonderHill merely to close the applications? Green Spot has been a productive application; what’s the sense in bringing it to a close? If you have any conscience whatsoever, you’d feel ashamed.
WonderHill and Kabam. You have brought us to tears. We were lied to, misled, and now, we feel cheated, betrayed. We, the users, we have put so much into this application–time, money, emotions, memories–more than you could realize. We have become a virtual community.
This is one of few apps–if any–that is a wholesome, family friendly game, with users ranging in age from about 3 – 80. Many of the gardens are memorials to loved ones, and many are tributes to dear friends. Several of the users have handicaps that find Green Spot to be a useful exercise. The game is therapeutic to people, including myself, in relieving depression, as well as anxiety, and other issues. It a source of socializing and sharing creativity, especially to home-bound individuals.
Obviously, you don’t get it. Whether greed takes precedence, or lack of concern, you just don’t get the impact you’ve effected. Remember, karma happens. Be it now, or later, you will sorely regret your actions, should you close GS. Mark my words, Kabam: Karma happens.

I am requesting that you keep Green Spot and Enchanted Gardens as part of your game line up…..many people do not care for violent games. GS and EG was a place where every age group, young and old, sick, poor whomever could come and build beautiful gardens, socialize and relax and lose the stress of the day…..PLEASE reconsider shutting these games down, keep them open for all of us that love them so much….. Thank you

This application (green spot) helped me get through many hard times in my life. When I was first diagnosed with cancer I would spent countless hours entranced into the game. Thinking only of what garden I would create to show and spread awareness. This game was the ONLY thing that kept my mind off of the harsh reality for hours at a time. I made so many friends on this game. Please find it in your hearts to keep this application running. There were so many dedicated players, most who paid monthly. Please let us stay where we feel the most at home!
And I also agree that I would add my pleas to those who love these games as my mother does, and beg Kabam to please reconsider closing the gardens on Dec. I am a Wow player as well and their customer satisfaction is AMAZING!

This message is for you INSIDE SOCIAL GAMES…Do you see what is happening? Do you even care at all about the industry your site thrives on? I have emailed you over and over and no response. Do you get kickbacks from developers for writing fluffy stories about only the positive side of this business? This industry needs to get it over itself and I for will fight as hard as I can to open up the eyes of our disgusting zombie society that just follows without a real thought left. To me you sided with Kabam…have fun with that…

In numerous books, movies and television shows you see the little people swept under the rug by the man and now that I’m one of them I realize that it can happen to anyone, even a simple girl from simple New England and even you Inside Social Games have never talked about the 3 million of us who had our both our money and our game ripped away by the corporate machine. I thank you for one thing…making me realize that the social gaming community needs a wake call…I’m currently apply for some writing jobs that will allow to speak out against this atrocity and other…GS Forever in my Heart…

It has been a while since Greenspot was closed and I and many others are still missing it. There is no other game like GS. I have looked. Those of us that played Greenspot would like to ask Kabam to please bring our beloved game back. You will definitely make money and make so many people happy. I am home all the time and alone. Greenspot was my only way to mix with people. Please please reconsider. Thank you so very much

I could sit here & write really long comments on how much I (& others) want you or someone elso to bring back GreenSpot, but I’m sure you are tired of reading. So, to put it short & to the point. Please bring back GreenSpot. I have missed it sooooo much, but until today, I had no way of posting how I felt. It was my granddaughter that told me to look up the game. She said, “Maybe you can find a place to write to someone.” Darned if she wasn’t right. PLEASE CONSIDER BRINGING BACK THE GAME TO A LOT OF PEOPLE WHO MISS THIS GAME GREATLY.

June 30th, 2011 at 9:09 pm
Please please please bring it back!!!! My grandkids and I miss it sooo much! I have looked at the games that you offer and NOT ONE of them interest me or my family in any way AT ALL! You can’t tell me that it didn’t make money….I know better!!! Why not sell it…reopen it….there has to be a way to do this! I’ve searched the web so many times.. just trying to find something comparable..there isn’t anything remotely close to it. Please bring it back. Robin Rich

“As for why WonderHill wanted to conceal its acquisition until after showing off Dragons, Currier later explained via email that his team of hardcore gamers, which had previously only built somewhat fluffy social games, had fallen in love with their new project and poured their hearts into it — so he wanted to make sure they got credit for their work.”
Wonderhill built “Dragons”! THEY sold to Kabam! THEY took money from thousands of people in the name of rainforest conservation. Oh well for us fluffy idiots!
Of course Kabam, nor ANYONE, shows any apologies or explanations (that I can find). Nice.
I was had. You were had. Disappearing with OUR HARD-EARNED MONEY and potentially profiting from it, getting into this “hardcore” genre of game, that will have it’s own consequences. Karma.
I was upset with myself for choosing to spend $ on Green Spot; HOWEVER, I was given the distinct impression that the money was for a valuable cause. If I find out MY MONEY was used to fund a Kabam acquired game or *anything* other than support of Green Spot (as it was called when I played) and donations to “save rainforest”, I have no problem bringing this further attention. I think even to this day there will be hundreds of people who will agree!
I’ll also be researching Kabam, Wonderhill (as it was) and boycotting any and all applications, products and really anything that endorses this backstabbing operation.

yup…I’m back again and still fuming. I’ve gotten even more upset over the past few months as I’ve watched Kabam slip lower and lower in the developer standings…now I want to know what REALLY happened with this ridiculous buy out that left MILLIONS of us without our favorite game. We were used by Wonderhill to develop other games and even though there are no current laws protecting us I hope to see some in the future…Green Spot was nothing but a hedgefund and now I’m starting to wonder if a lawsuit can be brought on under those laws…hmmm…
