This has to be one of the worst reviews of a game that I've seen. The explanation goes to one side and the other without explaining the game correctly. This game was one of my favorites. Being a long time strategy computer game player I found it to be one of the most unique battle systems in a long time. It combined the elements of tower defense, RTS, base building and CCG all in one. This game should be purchased by a company that's interested in making this into a CD game or online only game. If an added massive campaign world were included in addition to what was availible from the FB game it would be fantastic.

The NanoStars games look really engaging and fun to play, but I'm not sure they can work in the mass market. They just seem so COMPLICATED.

Just look at how much of this review is taken up with EXPLAINING THE CONCEPT. How many games in the top 20 take that much explanation before the basic premise can be understood?

It just sounds to me like a very "clever" concept cooked up by Trip Hawkins with very little reference to what's going to actually work for social games.

The fact that the games take place in a world that parodies high fantasy just shows how much they're trying to borrow from old school gaming themes -- themes that haven't proven to work well on Facebook.

Having said that I like what they're trying to do so I kind of hope I'm wrong.
