This is one of those slow news day type posts. Ya kick of with an absurd impossible tidbit like a facebook MMO that would unseat WoW from its thrown. Yikes there's big tasty what if that will never materialize.

The immersion factor is no where near there yet we feel we should entertain the notion with a full blog post, nice!

The only thing that is gonna touch WoW is another company that puts as much attention to detail in every aspect of that game like Blizzard has to keep their players wildly addicted beyond belief. In fact a Starcraft MMO would be about only thing that could unseat WoW.

FreeRealms actually has a pretty decent start and its look and feel definitely copies WoW from what i've seen.

Social networks will continue to rake in fans for mafia games and simple turn based action but full immersion on the likes of WoW, not happening. Fun to speculate, nothing out there to really say its gonna happen any time soon.

Surpass WoW in what way? Other games have surpassed WoW in terms of simultaneous users, total users, total active users, etc. WoW still rules in terms of revenue, however, and I don't see anything that runs on Facebook coming close to WoW's $15 ARPU in the West (substantially less in China).
