hi5 has been leading a similar initiative within OpenSocial https://docs.google.com/Doc?id=dfjcf7w4_10ddst9xd9&hl=en. Our virtual currency APIs have been in public beta with several third-party developers like RockYou (RockYou Pets, http://tinyurl.com/qdtwa2), Playdom (Poker Palace, http://tinyurl.com/l5w2gw), and a new partner being announced tomorrow. This interface allows third-party apps to collect direct user payments within their games using our virtual currency, hi5 Coins.

Dave, they haven't announced what the fee structure will be yet. Currently they're only testing it with 3 apps.

Does anyone know what FB will charge for use of its payments system? Is it a transaction fee or a revenue sharing arrangement?

Thanks!
