SimCity for the iPhone – More Cheats, Tips, & Tricks

SimCity Cheat PromptLast month we took a look at the new iPhone rendition of the classic sandbox game, SimCity. Complete in its original form, the game is no mere shell of its former glory. Everything you know and remember is still there, but as was found out, very few of the original cheat codes still worked.

The last time the topic of SimCity was touched upon, there were two known cheats. If players shook the iPhone they would be prompted with an input prompt for said codes, and could enter the classic codes of “i am weak” and “pay tribute to your king.” Upon completion, players could enjoy construction costs at the bargain of $0 and access to all extra rewards, respectively.

Well, time has passed and thanks to a find on a little website called GameWinners, two new codes were discovered:

  • Having some trouble with excess garbage in your city? No worries, because if you enter the code, “garbage in, garbage out”, you should be fixing that issue right away as you are granted the recycling plant, waste to energy incinerator, and the normal incinerator. Yum, burning garbage.
  • Not enough you say? How about some clean high tech industries? Just put in the cheat, “nerdz rule” and the neat freaks will be built in your industrial zone.

Unfortunately, that’s all that’s new this time around, but we’ll keep looking. Of course, if anyone has found any new ones, then by all means share them.

I have a large city. In the beginning I created a massive landfill to handle the trash. I Have been doing everything I can think of to reduce that pile and delete it… it won’t go away!! Is it a glitch? I have incinerators, recycling plants, all garbage ordinances enabled… how can I get rid of the garbage!!?? Please help!

    I’d prefer not to cheat…

  2. Paul says:

The garbage takes many years to decompose, give it time and it will all go away, put the speed to max if you havent, also make sure you leave some space set for landfill as the sims will start to use it more when the age, one other thing, hit the question mark and then touch the incinerators and recycling plants and make sure they are not over worked.

  3. Paul says:

when the incinerators and recycling plants age**

  4. Nate says:

I can’t get “nerdz rule” or “garbage in, garbage out” to work in my city. The other two work great… Has anyone else gotten them to work?

  5. jason says:

This site gave me ideas. I created a new code! “I need water.” It makes any water structures or water pipes free!

  6. Jen says:

You have to delete the roads leading to your landfill, then allow a fw years for it to decompose. Your land will be useable thereafter. Ignore the messages from your advisors that garbage can’t get to the dump. Hope that helps.

  7. Val says:

All over my city these little green garbage cans keep popping up, what do they mean and how can I get rid of them??

  8. big lu says:
