In my closing We are not going to give up. Also we (Nexon) Don’t just send you to jail or fine you.We ask you to shut the server down. And once which you don’t we shut it down for you and then thats when the court gets into it. Just play it safe and play the real Maplestory.

Nexon is free as guaranteed. To play the game is free, but offering something you can buy is optional.You don’t have to buy that to play the game.Also Nexon didn’t say “free”, it said Free To Play. So before you go out there saying a bunch of lies, make sure to READ everything CLEARlY.

If you find Maplestory to be so hard i got advice for you,FIND A DIFFERENT GAME.Maplestory was designed to be hard, and well i mean if you don’t wanna get caught then why would you make a website AND advertise it. Clearly making a private server (bootleg) of Maplestory is illegal.
Its obviously copying the game and claiming it yours.People copying maplestory doesnt make anything better, it just makes it Harder for you. Well if caught with a copy righted version we will send you to jail. That’s the law and you wanna know the best thing about it? You cant do anything about it.

I knw this is old but im still pissed of tht nexon shut down every good pServer. I mean like rlly. Do u guys lyk money more than people who actually play globalms. I deleted my acc and the ppl i knw did also. We wanted to play a free game without playing money. U guys r also liars! U guys said MAPLESTORY WAS F-R-E-E! Nobody wants to pay real money to buy clothe,s weapons, pets, gears, etc. ON maplestory i am still at lvl64 and ive been playing almost over 5-7 YEARS!! My friends are higher than me and they played for about 2-3 YEARS! I mean like rly and one of my friends are lvl200. We all just wanted to play a free game where there is no real money envolved. Instead of shutting pServers down i think u guys should just lyk update stuff. So, we can be rebirth and get clothes, pets, weapons, etc for free instead of real money. I STRONGLY DISAGREE WIF NEXON. I ACTUALLY MEAN IT SCREW U NEXON!

The problem with this, is that nexon is in the right, and the private servers are in the wrong. They are legally entitled to acuse anybody who is using their copyrighted files and shut them down. If people want to create a server, they should go buy the fucking files from the people who made them, and get a contract. The one thing all these fuckwits don’t understand is, if nexon shuts down their maplestory, the developers of patches for maplestory get less money from nexon’s contract. If the developers go broke, no new content = death of the game. Yeah nexon is greedy, but they have to be.The game market has never been more compeditive, so you have to use any edge. And don’t go bitching about whats fair and what isn’t, because private server owners are technically theives who steal files and use them without permission in the first place. The only reason all these idiots have to argue with is it’s not fair, leave us alone. It’s illegal. Just because it’s on the internet doesn’t mean you don’t get prosecuted.

Its just like pirating. You take profit from the creators, and they go broke, then you fucking whinge how there isn’t anything new.
Just shut up and pay. And if you don’t like it, don’t play. Yes, GMS is hard, and the rates are high. Too bad. Nexon owns the files, and you don’t.
Get used to it, after all everyone knows what happens when you break the law and get caught.

Nexon is also desperate. Because they fucked up hard. Sadly for you, they have all the rights, and you don’t. My advice would be to run a private server and keep it hidden. Not like all these idiots that keep getting caught. It’s like stealing from a bank then dancing in front of it lawl.

The only person i really agreed with here was mint because he’s not being a fuckwit and flaming nexon for doing what’s in their legal rights. They’re fucking idiots, but they’re right.

But I do respect the terms and conditions about copyrights. My whole point was that Nexon caused this mess to themselves. And I just want to restate what I said earlier about “why I don’t agree how hard Nexon’s Maplestory is”. The game just takes ALOT OF TIME. And I meant that I understand why they made it that way, although it’s just inconvenient to players. Their low rates is not the best choice if they are striving to get more players, or even keep their players. And I agree to what other people here said about Nexon not really losing their players. Just like Treff who stated that “I in fact play a private server, however I also still play the global version at the same time. When the difficulty of the global server becomes a bother, I play the private server. When the private server becomes too easy, I play the global server.” This shows that leaving private servers on isn’t really much of a problem, only until it seriously gets out of control.

I think that people never thought about how hard Nexon’s Maplestory is until private servers started to exist and customized the rates for the owner’s/players’ own interests. Which is why I don’t really agree how hard Nexon’s Maplestory is.(Although raising up their rates would be a great idea) They just want the players to go through each and every journey/quests that they created for the players. One thing that I agree about the other people’s comments is the NX Cash. I mean, geez, really? In a way, it gives kids or players an option/chance to waste their money on games, and it creates a bad image to Nexon–which also causes players (who doesn’t want to waste money but still want to have special customization) to make their own copy of the game, or so-called Private Servers. One more thing, they shouldn’t close down private servers. It shows that they (Nexon) are a bunch of scaredy-cats who would just destroy whoever interferes their business. They should overlook this situation and understand why this is happening to them– come up a plan, be creative (throw events like some admins/gms from some private servers), try to make their game better in a way that players would love (most especially raising up the rates and making NX Cash bought by mesos only, not real money) and compete/fight against other games or private servers instead of just shutting them down. That way Nexon won’t have bad (or worse if they are already) reputation and won’t make their own players leave their game by shutting down private servers, letting the game have it their (Nexon) way, and ignoring the suggestion of the majority. Nexon, show these people that you have more abilities and more chances to be very much greater or become the best game out the copied games out there–and don’t forget, being the original game is your very first advantage over your competitors.
