Metropolis is now over 3 years old and still going strong. The main bonus this game has over the other FB games is the fantastic support offered by the other players. The aim is not to 'win', but to build a city to your own specifications Every city is personalised with easy look-up charts so you can see where your city ranks in the world on many differnet levels. (Population, Income, Happiness etc.)
The devs keep the interest alive with new buildings available each fortnight and other little tweaks to celebrate major events.
The forums are very very active and the players friendly and welcoming.
Give it a try. And one of your first visits should be to the forums

I been playing this game for a while now, one of the problems with this game was the populate feature, untill recently when you used the auto pop feature if someone had only expect Entertainment the game would not increase this but you still pay for that person in your connections.

Its also felt that some of the buildings that you can buy later on are very much over priced for what you get back in return.

this is a slow burning game by all accounts
