RockYou Going After Social Games Market
October 3rd, 2008
RockYou, one of the biggest developers of applications on the Facebook and MySpace platforms, has been getting more into games lately. The company acquired top Facebook social game Speed Racing in July, and has 2 of the top 12 games in the Top 25 MySpace Games charts.
Today, at the Startonomics conference in San Francisco, RockYou CEO Lance Tokuda proclaimed the company’s intentions to pursue the social gaming market heavily. “We want to be like the Electronic Arts of social networks, and build games for social networks,” Tokuda said, Valleywag reports.
It looks like RockYou has multiple big ambitions - the company runs an ad network for social application developers as well.
